The RPF
I am Justin McChristion and I am a part of the RPF. In my last defense and offense I would like to talk about how the Belgians accused the RPF of causing the Tutsi people in Rwanda to be used as “scapegoats” for every problem in Rwanda. Our defense to this comment is that we knew that our violent acts would end up causing a problem somewhere at some time, but we thought that this would be worth it to get back into our homelands and participate in the government. I would also like to make an accusation at the French for training the NRMD and then telling them to train the Interhamwe and not taking the blame. I would also like to ask a question to the UN. Isn’t the loss of ten to twenty men worth the life of thousands, or are they worth more because they are European and the people they are “protecting” are African. I agree with who you are blaming for the genocide but I think it was a little of your fault because the RPF shot down the presidents plane which started the genocide. Why did you shoot down the presidents plane when he was trying to work out a peace treaty with you? Why did you also refuse to sign it?
ReplyDeleteJustin, I would like to point out once again that as France, we never trained the Interahamwe, or told the NRMD to train the Interahamwe, we trained the NRMD to protect their civilians not murder them.
